High idle on startup

Also there is no real need to allow an engine to warm up if your using the right oil. Just wait a few sec to let the oil pump distribute the oil and youre set.Clean it with actual TB cleaner, much more effective, and use a rag and clean all on the insides, particularly on the edge of the butterfly valve and the sides. And did you try starting it without the airbox connected? see if it idles high without anything attached to the TB, if it does inspect your airbox and tubing and get another airfilter. It was maybe 32*F outside, but thats never been an issue before. Perhaps the cold is finally getting to the old girl, i dont know. The computer will go into default mode with no o2 sensor input and if your high idle goes away you'll know the o2 sensor is sending bad signals when plugged in. Checked the crank case sensor, it was covered with oil. Not being a mechanic, not sure if this is normel or not. Spray a little starting fluid or WD-40 on the rubber parts and listen for the idle to change. If it changes, you're sucking in extra air. Also there is no real need to allow an engine to warm up if your using the right oil. Just wait a few sec to let the oil pump distribute the oil and youre set. Will deal with that soon.
